Our 1956 Oldsmobile Rocket is more than a beautifully preserved automobile—it is a cherished connection to our heritage and the generations that shaped our family. This is the same model driven by my grandfather, Selby Frank McManus Sr., whose life, values, and love for family left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

My father, Selby Frank McManus Jr., deepened that connection. As a pastor, husband, father, and devoted servant to his community, he spent his life following God's calling and investing in the lives of others. Some of my fondest memories are tied to classic cars and the journeys they carried us on—Sunday mornings headed to church, afternoons at the ballfields, family gatherings, and countless trips that connected us to the communities we called home.

Those drives were never just about getting from one place to another. They were about faith, family, fellowship, and the relationships built along the way.

Today, Selby Heritage Classics is our opportunity to honor that legacy. It is a way to celebrate the values my father lived by, preserve a piece of our family's story, and share a small reflection of his lifelong mission with others.
